Call of Duty 4: Patch 1.6 zum Download bereit

Eigentlich sollte der Patch mit der magischen Nummer 1.6 (Redakteur ist CS Spieler) erst morgen erscheinen. Aus welchem Grund auch immer stellte Nvidia bereits vergangene Nacht den Patch per Download für ihre Nvidia Club SLI Member zur Verfügung. Nett wie diese sind gaben sie die Dateien natürlich sofort weiter.

Der neue Patch enthält ein paar Bug-Fixes sowie ein Map Pack bestehend aus 4 neuen Karten. Dieses Pack ist bereits unter dem Namen Varity Mappack bekannt und steht den Konsolen Spielern schon seit rund drei Wochen zum erkunden bereit.

Das 283MB große Update bereinigt unter Anderem einen Server Crash Exploit und mehrere Andere diverse Fehler. Eine ehemals angekündigte verbesserte KillCam ist leider nicht enthalten.

Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Variety Map Pack, Infinity Ward expands the online experience of 2007's top-selling game by providing fans with four new multiplayer maps featuring a variety of locations, while supporting split-screen and system link play.

Online action takes players to "Creek," a wide-open village ravaged by combat where concealment is the difference between life and death; "Broadcast," fight throughout an enemy communications building with confined corridors and wide-open parking lots; "Chinatown," a foggy downtown district, lit only by a full moon and the neon glow of the city; and "Killhouse," featuring a desolate training warehouse filled with a variety of building mock-ups and soft and hard cover points.
